Dad's Jumper
2.4m giant jumper made from hand-dyed roving wool. It is a replica of Dad's jumper knitted in 1945 by the artists Grandmother and Great Aunt. This symbolises home, comfort and protection.
Collection - Stitch together
Installation made from reclaimed wood, paper and cotton thread. Multiple images stitched together from the artists family photographs, cultural patterns, geographical locations and knitting histories.
Artist Statement
Hireth
Hireth is a Cornish word for which there is no direct English translation. It describes an intangible feeling, a longing for the familiarity and comfort of home.
